The goal of the Confluence Thought Series is to enhance creative potential within a region. It highlighted the importance of balancing collaboration and competition to strengthen teams, expand networks, enhance diversity, and enable rapid market access through cooperative competition.
Over a two-day conference, more than 20 leaders from fields such as technology, design, marketing, and workforce development will discussed ways to foster such an ecosystem in West Michigan. They aimed to interconnect accelerator programs, innovation hubs, capital, government agencies, and startups to produce outcomes that surpass their individual contributions. Each day included behind-the-scenes visits to some of Grand Rapids' most innovative companies, featuring networking lunches and tours led by company executives, providing insights into where and how their ideas are developed.
I had a great time meeting new people. Love what events like these do for the community!
Shoutout to Aidan Van Doren and all of the other Kendall College of Art and Design students looking to learn and grow right here in West Michigan!
